Default 911 Blue Fluid Leak

I just picked up a new 2017 991.2 on Wednesday and have noticed a blue fluid leak behind the driver's side front wheel. It is blue like washer fluid, but a thick oily consistency. Has anybody else had a similar experience, or know what fluid it might be?

It is on the front driver's side, right behind the wheel

Recently washed?

Oily. Strange.

Ok, how do you know it's blue? Are you looking at the color on a white cloth?

What color is AC fluid?
Leaky strut?

Washer fluid reservoir is right above, probably was overfilled and ran down taking some fresh undercoating/cosmoline with it. Can't think of any other fluid that is blue...

the reservoir was definitely overfilled. Just couldn't figure out why it would be oily.

Grabbed some cosmoline along the way.

Our cars no longer have the dreaded cosmoline coating. And it's certainly not water soluble. If it were, the 993 guys would be delighted, since they're always trying to remove it.

Washer fluid exhibits surfactant properties, so under the right conditions (with your skin) could feel oily between your finger tips.

Did it look like this? If so, its washer fluid. Dealer overfilled my GTS when new and after just a few miles this is what mine looked like. The washer fluid probably picked up some road grime/tire dressing and that's probably why it feels oily. I lowered the washer fluid level and it never happened again.

That's washer fluid. It also happens when I wash the windshield.

Thanks for the help. I'll drain some fluid and see if it stops
