Just joined the 991 club....2013 C2S with MT
Sold my 2002 996 coupe and picked up a CPO 2013 C2S a couple of weeks ago. Spent quite a bit of time lurking on the 997, 991 and Turbo threads over past months as part of my education.
Loved the 996 and still do. Great car and from a drivers enjoyment perspective worth 2X what I paid for it. It was my first 911 and really hard to watch new owner drive it away but was time for the next one. Good news is I got to pass it to a friend so can still visit/drive it if the urge strikes me. Now its his first 911.
As has been the case for many I was on the fence about the 991 (the whole too big, too refined, not a real 911, etc, etc) and leaning towards a 997.1 turbo or 997.2 GTS. Ultimately decided to go with the latest model within my budget that offered RWD, NA engine, manual transmission and was most daily driver friendly. That said I am sure I would have been thrilled with and lucky to own any one of them.
Not much seat time yet. Couple of shorts trips and a 2.5 hour slog through rain and snow to get the car home to ME from Boston. P Zero's and slush make for an interesting pairing. Still getting to know the car but really liking it so far.
Pics could be better. Will work on that when weather turns a bit nicer and I can get out to more scenic locations.

Nice looking machine - congrats!!
I share your unfabulous impression of the P Zeros - I thought they were awful, and particularly when on wet roads, as is often the case out here.
Installed a set of Bridgestone Potenza S-04s this past winter - *much* better. Quieter, excellent wet traction, better steering -- recommended after you wear out the P Zeros.

Nice find! We all know the last real 911 were the 993s. Every pcar owner feels that about their model being the last real 911. I had a 993 when both the 996 and seven came out. Hearing horror stories about the 996, front headlight design and the iM bearing failures and Porsche,s lack of care to fix the problem made me stay away, among other reasons - kids. My 993 was as reliable as our land cruiser, until she met an untimely death. I am very happy you are in a 991. They are incredible. Enjoy! Btw, great color! I got weather tech floor mats to deal with our mud issues.
