Agree with almost everything said above. The stop/start is the only irritant in daily use, especially when it cuts the engine off when going slowly over speed bumps! The car is fast enough for me, I really don't need to upgrade now. Its one thing checked off the bucket list.
Retrospectively, i should have gone for leather instead of standard interior because it also gives you a bright door trim. Embossed headrests are useless, at least in black, since you can barely see the logo. Better to get the centre armrest embossed.
At certain angles, depending on time of the day, the standard dash trim reflects the sun straight into the eyes, I would go for brushed aluminium or leather.

Burning Brakes
Did a short 3 day road trip which involved significant highway droning. Regular mode is OK for that. Anything else is sport mode. Dry warm weather deserted back roads and it's sport+

Bad choice of words. Should have said highway cruising. Or as some would say, highway vacuuming
I have the horrible terrible very bad PSE exhaust. Which I love. But just cruising down the highway it seems a waste to run the car in sport mode.

This is a legit thread. I only troll and bring out the vacuum video on stupid comparisons.
Cool to see people driving their new cars in this thread!

I ordered my 991.2 with all the trim leather covered to avoid the bright work.
Carmine Red vent trim completes the interior.
Wish I could get the 'Push to Pass' button in red but TechArt says I have to purchase a whole new wheel!.-Richard

OP, thanks for putting this thread together. I'm still on the fence about getting a .2 if I can't get a GT3 and this thread will help me in the thought process.

I’m new to the forum and this is my first post. I recently purchased my first Porsche – a 991.2 C2S Cab – and it’s absolutely incredible. Prior to the 991.2 I was driving a 2015 M4 which was a great car but everything it did well the 991.2 does better.
Right now, I have about 500 miles on the clock and I’m registered to drive in the Schnell Fest at COTA in a couple weeks: http://austinschnellfest.clubregistration.net/. I originally registered several months ago assuming that I would still be driving the M4. I will probably put another 200 or so miles on the car before the event.
My question to the forum: Is it too early for a track day? The sales rep told me “don’t baby it” and there really isn’t a break-in period but I have heard others say that I shouldn’t use launch control until I get to 1500 miles? What is the official recommendation?

My SA told me to stay below 5000 rpm for the first 1000 miles and then GO. IMHO, if you stay below 5k for 700 miles you'll be fine. He also said no full throttle starts and stay off boost for those 1000 miles.
That's what I did and now at 5000 miles, engine hasn't burned a drop of oil.

RTFM.
I go as far as I can to 2000 miles folowing the manual and then have the oil changed BEFORE any Track Event.-Richard
BTW my Boxster 2013 (18k miles) and 2017 C4S (11,491 miles) burn no oil.
