Should be the same, but I believe the Turbo model has bigger oil capacity. I could be wrong, please refer to your manual.

Dumb question - where exactly does the "rigid plastic ring" get placed? At the very bottom in the plastic base?
The good news is that I got the replacement part from Suncoast but I have no idea where to actually place it so I shoved it outside the rubber intake all the way into the plastic base where it seemed to fit.

Thanks

Rigid ring is on top.

Thank you for the clarification, I clearly over-engineered the placement!

Even more confused as to the functional purpose of this plastic ring, especially since I drove without it for a year with no rattles or any other issues.

Will fix after breakfast this morning and tell the wife that I'm off to "road testing."

My 991.1 TTS takes right at 8 quarts, so should be same capacity.

Default Lessons learned

I looked this thread up after I already changed my oil and wanted to mention on at least a 991 s that it's super easy to unclip your trunk latch cable when changing your oil. If the outboard end over the oil filter housing pops out you will not be able to unlatch the trunk. Thankfully I had enough room to squeeze a minimag flashlight between the fan shroud with the spoiler up and make a hook with a coat hanger to pull the catch.

To the top for a great thread.
I'm changing the oil as I type this and wanted to add that it's easier to remove the fan and intake for a clean unfeathered access to the oil filter. It takes an extra minute.

If any local birds need help, bring a 6-pack and let's put the lift to work.

Next I'll schedule a dealer visit to reset the oil change interval and disable the Power Steering Plus nonsense.
