Playing devils advocate here. Take the paragraph off and just put the 911 in the middle

Agree with this. You did amazing work getting it "right" w/o the template. Black 9 1 1 would make it even better and more pure.

Thanks for everyones' feedback! I'm glad that my attempt to forgo the template, and "eye ball it" didn't cause a glaring mistake.

The dental floss suggestion was solid advice. I removed then reapplied the 9 1 1 using the floss, and lost a negligible amount of adhesive backing in the process. Moving that in balanced things out a bit. Still not perfect but meh, to me, looks a lot closer than before. Going to try this for a while and see whether its too busy or if I want to take a minimalist approach and just have "9 1 1" or "9 1 1 S" or something. Thanks again everybody!

The enemy of good is better.

For the life of me, I just can't wrap my head around the fact that you did not have either Porsche or the shop with the "template" do it in the first place, WTH? How much could it have been to do the install, a $100?

To be honest, I stayed quiet when I saw your posts earlier. I thought: "the best fix would be to move the 911 over", but decided it was something just to leave up to you to decide.
I'm glad to see you changed it that way. You nailed it in my opinion... no one will ever know the difference. +1 for doing it right!

One thing I have learned over the years of modifying cars and motorcycles is that if you do the work, you will see mistakes and blemishes that no one else would ever notice.

My car is one year old with less than 5,000 miles and completely stock. I can give you a whole list of blemishes that no one else knows about and most would have a difficult time finding.
well said!
