Did you miss something?

It's a WAG, m'friend.

Here's my earlier post:

<<<<Yes, I agree. Spent a good deal of time today looking for those numbers as well.

Only thing I found was very nebulous .... seems Targas (of all styles) make up around 13% of all 911 models produced. Think it was from a couple years ago on a PCA extracted site. But, I've been on so many sites, I can't remember.

If that is the case ... USA sales for ALL 911 models for 2015 and 2016 are around 9000 - 10,000 cars. (this is from the most recent Panorama magazine #719) Using these numbers, one would believe that USA numbers of Targas would be around 1200 - 1300 cars.

I would think that the T4 GTS models would make up just a fraction of the total number of ALL Targas ... for many reasons ... price, 2 vs 4wd, price, and, of course ... price. And, maybe other stuff as well.

Just a WAG from my perspective ... I'd say only 10% of all Targas would be T4 GTS models. Or, around 120-130 cars.

I must say that math is not in my wheel house, but guessing is. >>>

That's my poor attempt at the math. Still a WAG.

So ... based on what I just posted (which is really just a WAG) .. the number of Targa 4 GTS cars imported will be around 200 units. Total GTS cars would be more, but I think coupes would be a higher number than Targas ... and, T4 would be the lessor of all models. ??

Does this make any sense to you guys?
And did you miss this post when you claimed your guess was 200?

Look ... I don't have an axe to grind over a WAG. If there are 500 T4 GTS I don't give a sh*t. It's just a WAG !

What's your problem?

No problem...just trying to understand your numbers. First you WAG 120-130. Then you estimate 200. Then you say 300 that somebody else mentioned was close to your WAG.

Sorry for asking. Good luck with your purchase.

I believe there were 340 991.1 targa gts's made for North America. I don't know of those the transmission breakdown, but I am thinking 35-60 manual 7-speed 991.1 targa gts's.

Curious...you state "I wouldn't waste any more time"...is that because you don't think they might eventually be worth more money somewhere down the road? I ask because if the numbers are 200, 300 or even 400 that formula seems to have worked for other Porsche 911 models, no? The 964 Turbo 3.6 comes to mind and even the 3.3s are benefiting from limited production numbers (as well as the appreciation of all things air cooled) as well as the GT3 RS and let me not forget the 911R. Am I missing something? Just asking a serious question not being a wise ***...would love your insight or opinion either way.
