991.1 production numbers?
Does anyone have these or can find them? I looked around quite a bit on the internet and failed to locate them. (I found a few quarterly reports, but nothing for the complete line)
I have a 991.1 base model coupe with 7MT (2013) - was just curious how many had actually been built. I ran into a guy who works at a local speed shop. He told me the base model coupe with the 7 MT was the rarest 991.1...which sparked my curiosity. Is he correct?
I would have guessed one of the Targa models or Turbo S for that distinction.

I believe it.
I'd guess there were less than 10,000 (all variants) 991s sold in the USA in 2013.
Figure only about 10% of those are 7 MT.
And less than 50% of those are base 911s
So, I say less than 500 units like yours in the USA in 2013.

I did find the 10% manual transmission number before - 10,000 911s in one year to the US seems a bit high to me, but that's just my likely flawed intuition. I would have guessed 5,000 or less in a model year.
A few months ago I had a warranty issue with my car, and while it was getting sorted (charcoal filter), I talked to the salesman who had sold me the car originally. He had just bought a 991.2 base with PDK. He said they had sold a number of 991.2 base models, but not a single one with a manual transmission! Their demo had a PDK as well. They did, however, manage to get two 911R units, and sold them both instantly.

I know - according to the salesman, it was nearly unheard of for more than one to be delivered per dealership. Articulated poorly on my part.
Just mentioned it in the context of manual transmission cars having a small, but loyal following.

Atlanta. Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), the exclusive U.S. importer of Porsche sports cars including the Macan and Cayenne SUVs and the Panamera sports sedan, today announced it has once again set an all-time U.S. sales record, with 42,323 cars sold in 2013 (plus 21 percent over 2012). The previous record year for Porsche in the U.S. was 2012 when 35,043 cars were sold. In December 2013, Porsche dealers sold 3,246 cars, an increase of 10 percent over last December.

OP, I'd love to see production figures for the 991.1 broken out by year, model and MT. Still trying to ascertain what the VIN spans from regarding the very first and last 991.1 imported into the US.
Porsche is currently holding this data very close to the vest.

This model specific sales data is in every issue of Pano. Someone needs to look at the January 2014 issue to see the total year 2013 numbers. You'll be able to see how many 991 sold. Won't break out transmission or base vs S, but we can extrapolate.

Thanks all for the information - no surprise the SUVs are selling so well - seems like I see Cayennes (especially) quite frequently. 911s & Boxster/Caymans less so.
The other comment the speed shop guy made was that S models typically outsell the base models by almost 2:1 based on what he saw coming in for service/upgrades.
That statement I did buy, as I'm not sure I've seen another 991.1 base model on the street. But, 991.1 S units I see at least once a week on my commute.
Anyway, was just curious - my current ride is my first Porsche, and I'm thrilled with it - fun on the backroads, fun on the track, and fairly practical generally. Have no plans to sell it.

I have a 16 MT7 base just because. Never really thought much about it but the most common comment I hear when people see it is something along the lines of, "Oh one of the few/rare MT cars. Nice."

Oh... I also have a .2 manual I took delivery last month. They're still kinda scarce.
