993 totaled m5 sold another m5 v10 totaled help
Ladies and gents: After I totaled my 993 I left the Pcar world. Two kids and M5 later I am back. I need to catch up in hurry, because the mrs has said go get 991. I am looking at a 1 owner, 2014 silver 991s with 15 k sport PDK exhaust, sport choro package ,sport and sport+ buttons. What do I need to know? Extended warranty etc? This is real time , because the mrs might change her mind. Thank you in advance.

CPO is very valuable. Cars are all rock solid.
There is much debate around options but consistently people love Sport steering wheel(paddle shifters) SC and PSE - unless you know you will go aftermarket. PDCC and at least PASM are highly coveted. Full leather is nice. Burmester is nice but not really a high demand option.
Main thing is to check the maintenance. There really aren't any gremlins in these at all.
That is the short version.

Post the car, we'll opine, but if the price/specs/condition meets your needs, buy it. These cars are seriously amazing and while not 'cheap', certainly A LOT of car for the money.
I'd only add that 18 way sport seats are super nice to have.

Deep breath, relax.
You don't need to read all 400 pages. Just read the last few to get a flavor for the market.
Post the car you're looking at and people can help give you an idea on the value.
You need to put in the time and do the research. I understand you're under some kind of time crunch....but there are too many options on Porsches that are too personal to rely on others. Yes, we can tell you that you likely want sport chrono...but do you really want the wart on the dash? Most people would prefer PSE...but do you need a loud exhaust? I wouldn't buy a car without full leather....many here couldn't care. I hate the design of the multifunction wheel....but many can't fathom giving up the functionality. Seats fit different body types differently. And so on and so forth.
If you rush this, you're going to regret it.
Post the car, discuss what makes you happy and we can give you some guidance and input. But we can't make up your mind for you.
