Default Silver Gas Cap thingy

So i bought one of those from Suncoast Parts. Looks cool enough. First thing it has is a note saying that it needs to be installed by a Porsche Partner. Doesn't look too complicated, but has anyone replaced/swapped this out themselves? is it something more than I should do on my own? Note, i haven't tried yet, so if its silly easy, i apologize.

It's so easy, remove the old cap, you may have snip the cord by the grommet to get it off. Attach the supplied new plastic cord, pick the most flexible one and it should say 991 on it. Fit it over the grommet and put the other end on cap and you are ready to roll. 5 minutes.

It is silly easy and pretty much self explanatory.

Note says that it need to be installed by a Porsche Partner -- That's hilarious.

Welp, there goes your warranty. The cord is supposed to sit in the channel.

Mine gets delivered tomorrow. This DIY thread is going to save me at lease 30 seconds of install time.

Did you apply a coat of sealant before install? 303 the black plastic, too.

Have to? I'd say "no". But it's sooooo easy to put on, I'd say "you should". One drop, and I could see it breaking/chipping. Less chance of leaving it at the gas station, too.

What would a dealer charge for install? 1 hour labor? Wouldn't surprise me
