Yes. Prevents a gas station hold up. These caps are a hot item. Easy to flip for cash by street thugs.

Its a silly piece of silver plastic! I spec'd one on my GT4 thinking it would be a cool billet aluminum cap. Nope... "aluminum look" plastic. Wasted $180 or something on it. Does seem to keep the gas in the tank though....

@ $160/hr! Unbelievable that someone took the time to write that it has to be installed by Porsche Partner. Hilar/embarassing.

I must be a Porsche Partner, because I have owned Porsches since 1970 and am a long time PCA member. This is my ninth Porsche. If that doesn't make me a Porsche Partner, nothing would

Is the part number for the 991.2 aluminum cap 00004400191?

Seems like Gaudin doesn’t think so. Pull down menu didn’t allow for 2019 but

Just go buy it from either Suncoast Porsche or Sunset Porsche. I got mine from Sunset. 991.1

Seems like the part number I listed is for 991.1. Can seem to find 991.2 equivalent aluminum gas cap. Likely the same but would like to have someone verify this part number. I’ll likely be ordering a bunch of parts from porschepartsnow.com.

Thanks for the help.

Super easy to install. No need to cut or modify anything. Looks great! Perhaps a frivolous upgrade but I love it a fuel stops!

Just a side note - we have a tongue-in-cheek thing going here in my area. Those with the silver gas cab can join the prestigious, invitation-only, "Silber Tankdeckel" Club or STD Club for short. We're planning a drive for charity (those less fortunate) to compete with the new Trans-axle and Kein Wasser Clubs.

I would not say I love fuel stops, but the silver gas cap thingy certainly makes filling up a bit more enjoyable
