Smile Whale Tail

Just purchased a 991.2 s.

Love the car, my 8th 911 and among my favorites.
Love the two wheel drive and without rear wheel steering. My last was a 2015 Turbo.

I would like to add a whale tail. I have seen some new 2017s with one. are these part of a package?

Congrats Jon! No whale tail, in the traditional sense of the word, is currently available due to the .2's turbos. Got a pic of what you're referring to? Perhaps the Sport Design tail?

And how about some pics of your new car?!?

Do you mean a duck tail ?

Not being picky, the whale tail was a much bigger wing used on Turbos and carreras in the 80s

(and yeah, I'm gonna repost a pic of that lovely car every chance I get - not mine)

Here is a pic of a whale tail. Nothing like that for a 991.2. Duck tail really isn't available either. The SD package has a tiny little duck tail that really isn't a duck tail.

Here is a picture of the duck tail as part of the sport design package. Get your magnifying glasses (and wallet) out. Yawn.....

Congrats Jon, show some pics when you get a chance! Just out of curiosity, what is it that you love about not having rear wheel steering?

That's pretty, but that's a 991.1 and OP is asking about a 991.2.

Editing: I stand corrected as observed by 911boy in the next post. That 991.2 looks pretty much the same as the one on the 991.1 above. Here's a link describing it... I didn't see it on their website: http://www.carscoops.com/2016/09/tec...new-fixed.html

Techart has one for the 991.2. Pretty cool.

Rambler 13

I feel like the rear steering and the PDCC make the car faster and more stable but also less fun. Sometimes simpler is better.

Just my thoughts.

Saw this one at SEMA a while back. One of a kind show car from DUB.

And let's hope it stays one of a kind.
