How many of us here are PCA members?

I was a member for 2 years and have only been to one event... average age was +60 and everyone wanted to know how I could afford a 911... I did not renew for 2017
I still received the January copy of my local chapter's magazine, it looks like an AARP brochure

I've been a member since 2015 starting with my Cayman. I've not done any events, but just received two free preview tickets to the D.C. auto show. I also receive a 10% discount on all of my accessories from my local Porsche dealership in Tysons. Actually, it was my SA that encouraged me to join for that reason alone. I am going to try to do some of their planned events this summer as they schedule trips throughout the region. They also have a flagging school and toying with the idea of attending that. With their certification, you can be trackside at the races as a flagger. I don't track, but it would be cool to watch others from the best advantage point.
Finally, I enjoy the magazines as well and should mention that the people in the local chapter are very friendly.
I don't have a PCA sticker in my car window, but guess I should buy one to show my support.

Joined in 2009. My primary activity with the club has been DEs but have been to a couple other events. Good group of people and a mix of ages--tending toward middle aged. Really like Panorama since the format change.

been a member maybe 8 years now, been to a few events autocross, track days at summit point twice, a few dealer education workshops, Hershey park part swaps, etc., probably better than most auto clubs I have been a member of, the Potomac chapter (I believe the founding chapter) is pretty active and has great relationships with the local Porsche dealers. I get 10% off on parts and clothing usually. People are very nice, and I enjoy the magazines. Would like to do more events but during the nice weather something else always seems to conflict. One thing I really like about the P car club is that it caters to the newest and to the older models, where as the Benz club which I have been a member much longer on seems to focus on the older (pre 90s cars except for amg on track days)...

Joined when I was 23, now I'm 50. The age difference never bothered me. I had found fellow Porsche enthusiasts and that was cool. My kids grew up going to PCA events and they have fond memories of the Parade Kids programs. Still get the same rush from driving a Porsche as I did when I was 23 and I still look forward to attending PCA events. You would think serving as national prez for four years would burn me out, but it didn't. Its still my favorite hobby.
I think on average, 10% of a region's membership will come out to the events. The rest are content to receive Panorama and take advantage of the other benefits. That's cool. It's also why the club invested so heavily in updating Panorama and many other parts of PCA. If all 800 members in my region showed up to an autocross, we'd have a problem

A member of PCA for 33 years. Not 60 when I joined but now am in that age group. I have not noticed a preponderance of 60 year olds in my region (Chicago). I’m not as active as I once was but over the years have done autocrosses, track exercises (Road America, Grattan, Brainerd, Blackhawk, Joliet Autobahn), concours, and rallyes as well as the tech and other events. Won a few of these and humbled in others. Attended a half a dozen parades and enjoyed the early morning tech quizzes. Give it a try, you just might like it.

I was a member for over 10 years, gave it up about 5 years ago. Did 3 Parades, volunteered for one, really enjoyed the Parades. My region is all about track events and while I tried it, it wasn't my primary interest. Still do back country spirited drives with a group of PCA members. (Our drives were banned by PCA, so we formed our own group.) About the only thing I miss is Panorama.
