Default Porsche of Ocala $99.95 Oil change!

Guys,
I purchased my car at Porsche of Ocala (Florida) and they are a great group of people.
very honest, wonderful and courteous.

they are offering $99.95 oil changes up to 5 quarts. I did the oil change on my 991 there and saved a few bucks. regular oil changes at other porsche dealers is $325.

go to their webpage and check them out.

always 8 qts ($50) filters+$30 check the details first. but this is a common promotion by porsche, mercedes , other dealers. They are killing %99 of the time so they offer a $99 deal on A service and probably find other defects while they are inspecting. My beef is with the dealers that never give brakes or specials on anything, they want to kill %100 of the time

So the $99 oil change is actually $155 with enough oil?

Ok, it's still cheaper than most but why advertise something that is plainly just BS. Nice guys but can't count? Nice guys but lie?

What's next a $50 offer for an oil change?
Just 5 quarts and don't change the filter.
Hey it's an oil change, not an oil and filter change.
Well, a "half oil" change...

yes 5 qts of oil, additional quarts and taxes are extra. just like very advertisement. i challenge you to get an oil change at your dealer for that price. see how much they want to gouge you.

oil filter is $30 at suncoast plus shipping and 8qts of oil is about $70. so labor and taxers is about $55. pretty cheap when porsche charges $150 per hour and the oil change takes longer than that to drain the entire oilpan.
again i challenge you to go to your dealer and see what they will charge.

Should have told them to just put the 5 quarts in, and you'll top up when you get home. Or, drain, 5, and add 5.

What price? The $99 is deceptive advertising plain and simple.

depends. are there other, possibly earlier model porsches that only use 5 quarts? IF there is no model that only uses 5 qts, then yes, but if there are, its pretty standard to specify. Just about every oil change special I get from any dealer always specifies a max amount.

ltdodge, any idea what they charge for the 40k service by chance? coming up soon and I wouldn't mind a road trip if the price is right.

Where is the "deception"? The add says "5 quarts" in the top line in big font. The 5 quart rule is even at places like WalMart and the Ford dealership. This ad is pretty simple. The OP payed a very fair dealership price.

Because the fact that you know how many quarts your car takes doesn't mean everybody does, so at the end of the day the "special" is not so special. It should be "oil special starting at $99"
