Track tire sizes for 19". What are you using?

There seems to be a dearth of perfectly sized track tires available for the 991 in 19" sizes. Not wanting to run 20's on track I'm solely focusing on the 19" options.
Factory 20" sizes are 245/35/20 and 295/30/20, making the ideal 19" sizes 245/40/19 and 295/35/19. Only the Pilot Super Sport is available in these sizes and although it surely holds it's own out there, it's was not primarily designed as a track tire.
The Sport Cup 2's come in 255/35/19 and 305/30/19 which equate to roughly -2.75% in size. Between the 1-3% recommended variation but darn close. I'm wondering if any ABS issues would occur. It's surely a track tire.
NT-01 would be outstanding but again, not available in the proper sizes. Same goes for R888, although I'm less a fan. No go on Trofeo R either. Even the upcoming Michelin 4S doesn't appear to include these exact 19" sizes.
So are we just left to run Super Sports and sacrifice grip/lap time or has anyone had success with other options in slightly 'off' sizes like the Cup2's above?

Nice option. Those sizes would of course work but giving up 10mm on both axles. If anything I'd prefer to add 10mm if possible. You haven't been left wanting for more rubber on track?

I run the 245/40 and 295/35 Michelin Super Sports. They do an amazingly good job on the track. They aren't R-comps, but they won't hold you back much. For me, they are a necessity as I need to drive to and from tracks on them in all weather and temperature conditions.

Totally agree Brad.
I'm only ~1hr from the track and only attend 'dry' days so I've always been able to get away with the Nitto NT-01 to/from track in the past. Hard to go backwards once you've had a taste of the sticky stuff but Super Sports are looking like the only option at the moment. The 991 will probably be faster on MPSS than the 997 was on R comps anyway.

Just did some further digging and it would seem Nitto NT05's are available in 255/40/19 and 305/35/19 which would work dandy.
I have zero experience with the NT05 though and given that it's 'just' a Max Performance tire like the Super Sport I would imagine the preference would be for MPSS between the two.

Interesting. Do you have a photo of how those tire sizes look on the car. It would be slightly smaller overall diameter. And no ABS issues eh?
This is good info if so.

Based on a lot of searching here, I tried the RE-71R this weekend in 245/35 and 305/30 setup. Worked amazing, but I was careful to keep temps to 32/33 range.
I also tried a new forged wheel from TireRack, made by ForgedOne. At 19/22 lbs Fr/Rear they are great and full monobloc forged!

265/35-19 on 9” rims and ET40 and 325/30-19 on 11.5 and ET70 for a narrow 991.2.
note, .1 and the .2 use different offsets so critical you know your offsets on your car.

I'd love to run a 265/30-20 front and a 315/30-20 rear if I could.
I'm going to have a set of custom wheels built with 20x9 et45 and 20x11.5 et70 rear for my 991.2.
