Default Smoking Package?

Can the Smoker/Smoking Package be added? What would be involved?

Yes, I have seen guys do it on the net.

I think it is just a matter or ordering parts and putting them on. I THINK THINK don't know only THINK the electrical is plug and play as I THINK the pigtail is already there.

Hows that for a vague sort of non-answer?

I thought the smoking pkg was just rolling the window down a little, what else could there be? Oxygen mask for the passenger seat.

Wow. $300 plus installation for an option that comes "free" if you ask for it at the time of ordering.

I added the smoking package to my build so I'd have a smooth finished look. If I was adding the cup and lid now, I wouldn't bother wiring up a lighter socket. Kind of costly after the fact though compared to a no charge option.

i removed the smoker's package. while it was a smooth, finished look, i grew tired of the snickers at stop lights.

My best Mod yet... the euro cupholders were designed for these.... not giant big gulps and 30 oz coffee.

Pigtail is not there. If all you want is the cleaner look of the console that you get with the smokers package, and the 12v outlet is not a concern to you, then it's no big deal. If you want the 12v outlet to work, my service Tech said the entire center console has to come out to install the wire harness. I retrofitted my 991 and I opted for plan A, which was the smokers package sans operable 12v outlet. I like the look a lot better than the coin tray that was in the car when I bought it. For me, seems kind of silly not to get the smokers package if you are ordering a car. It's free, and you get another 12v outlet, plus IMO it makes the center console look a whole lot better.

That was my thinking so I added it to my order. I'll line the cup with felt and throw coins in there, out of sight.
