Atlanta PEC hotel?

Atlanta PEC hotel?
For those who have visited PEC Atlanta or know the area, can you recommend a nearby hotel? I plan to fly in the night before my delivery, and stay there one more night with my new 991. Obviously, parking matters (under cover good, valet bad). Thanks!

Yeah, no great options in that area.
Maybe the Renaissance Concours near the airport? I've stayed there before - it was ok. That was 10 years ago, keep in mind.
I tend to stay in the Buckhead area when I'm in ATL, but that's on the other side of town from PEC.

It's kind of a bad area near the airport as you might imagine. No one likes to live next to jet noise.
I travel there twice a year. I also stay in the Buckhead area at one of the Marriotts. Downtown also has some nice hotels and isn't that far away.
Downtown: This is a really cool hotel (on the inside): http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...riott-marquis/
Nearest to the airport, try this one: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...riott-gateway/
Yes.....I'm a Marriott rewards member.

We stayed @ the Ritz Carlton downtown when I picked up my Targa @ PEC.
It was AWESOME. They were able to get us black car service from Ritz to PEC the next morning for $80 but I suppose you could just as easily taxi or UBER it for less.
The Best Western is a DUMP and the Ritz wasn't that much more $.
They will let you park your 911 right in the front. When I was there they had a murdered out Rolls with matte black paint(or wrap?) and 911s and BMWs etc. They also have covered parking if you wish to park yourself.
I was just there a month ago, so PM or email me if you have any specific questions.

No I asked. They don't even collect your car from port until a week or so before your delivery date as they have no additional storage room. Once you visit it makes sense.
I am sure they do not want to be held accountable for anything as well given the prices and custom nature of all of the cars delivered there.

The St Regis does not allow self parking, but there is a public lot which is connected to the St Regis via a walkway. You need to know how to get there.
If you want to stay in the Buckhead area though, the Mandarin Oriental is a better hotel. You can call if they have self parking but I'm sure they will work a solution for you.

if you stay north of airport, where all the better hotels are located , take into account heading to pec the traffic rush hour heading south between 7-9 am , and heading back between 4-6 pm weekdays. weekends no issues

The hilton at the airport is pretty nice, but like a couple others have mentioned, not a very safe place if out walking alone at night. I fly for a major airline that is headquartered there and we've had several pilots accosted by the locals, both going to dinner and walking to the training center. I would stay at an airport hotel the night before, but not the night after.
