@Fabspeed- how much more sound does the Hi Flow Cats give me with the PSE (no headers swap). Obviously the cat bypass pipes are the way to go but there is no software out to pull the CEL yet. How reliable are your O2 spacers to offset?
Start with the cats, it is the biggest restriction point on the car in regards to sound. The factory center muffler is actually very unrestricted in the valves open position, pretty much straight pipes through the mufflers. By putting on sport cats the sound improves superbly. As a matter of fact you can use any of those videos that shows a combination of our Sport Headers/Cat Pipes for an accurate reference. The Sport Headers compliment the Sport Cats very well in regards to performance, but the sound enhancement of the Sport Headers pre-turbo is subtle enough that you really wouldn't be able to pick it up in a video recording.

My favorite video to reference for the Sport Cats is below. The Catted O2 Spacers have been working quite well, I actually haven't received any CEL complaints so far from those running catless. Now that's by no means a guarantee as ECU's can vary in sensitivity, but looks good so far! Plus tuning from COBB will be out this year so we'll be able to shut the CEL off soon anyway haha

Factory PSE with Sport Cats is the way to be, well said

I'll keep that in mind, thank you Jenner! Been getting any seat time with the oddly nice weather? haha

No CEL, and the cat cores are guaranteed for 2 years outside of track use and race fuel.

Who makes your 200 cell Cats? They seem to have a different design on the outlet side compared to most of the cats I've seen. Looks like they should flow slightly better, but I'd like to know that they are a quality product when it comes to longevity.

We have numerous 991.2 PSE systems in use with no CEL issues. We use German HJS Cats and our cats are plug and play with the OEM PSE system. As others have said, out of the two components (cats and mufflers), the cats will provide the greatest performance and sound improvement. However, there is even more and better sound to be realized with our straight thru X-Pipe when added to the Hi-Flow cat option.

I've LOVED mine. Perfect level of aggressive but not too intrusive from inside the cabin. Outside it's downright awesome.

Hi! We only use HJS 100cell and 200cell units, German made.

Can you point me to any videos that demonstrate the sound vs stock? I like the character of the stock exhaust, but want more volume. I'm wondering if your system changes the tone significantly, or if it just sounds more aggressive.

I love the look and the weight savings.

BTW, can I use the oem GTS black tips on your exhaust?

Hey Soapman--just thought I'd post this video of our Sport Cats on a 991.2 so you could hear the sound difference of our product vs. your car right now. The Sport Cats will certainly give you an increase in volume; they will give the tone of your exhaust a bit more depth and throatiness without changing the character significantly as you are not modifying any of the mufflers. Your stock GTS tips could be used with these sport cats as they are just a direct replacement for the stock cast. Our Carbon Fiber tips are always an option as well, and would go well with your GTS scheme.

Are the cat bypass pipes louder than sport cats?

The 200-cell HJS Cats we spec for the Sport Cats flow in the 90% range of a straight pipe, but the catbypass pipes are going to be tastefully louder than the sport cats. Plenty of sound when those cats are fully eliminated!

I like the fabspeed products, and I am considering the cats and possibly the headers.

My comment, however, was directed at Felix_Kline. 😮

I like the look of their inconel exhaust, I've just never been able to hear one. Losing some weight off the back of the car and improving the sound and performance is a win-win....except for my wallet, which will also get a bit lighter.
