991.2 S vs 991.2 GTS
So I am going to order a new 991.2 next year and have been playing with the configurator. Now that the GTS is on it I decided to configure a GTS to match my S.
Right now, to order the S that I want I am at $131,905.
If I build a GTS the same way it comes out to $142,250. (No Alcantera No GTS interior, No SD exterior)
For the extra $10,345 I get CL wheels (which I don't really want), CF interior trim, black exhaust tips, a GTS sticker on the door, 30 more HP, and wider hips.
If I add the CF trim to the S the price difference is $8,355 or $1990 less which is exactly what the CF trim costs. So even though the CF trim is included in the GTS package, Porsche is not discounting it.
Even the Sport Design exterior is not included with the GTS, it cost an additional $1500 if you want those bumper covers and rear.
Fun little comparison, of course YMMV depending on options.

The sport design option on the configurator for the GTS is a bit misleading. The whole "look" front bumper, rear wing is $4,490 for the S configurator and on the GTS when you look at the info tab it only shows the rear wing. I am going to assume that the option shown on the gts configurator is for the rear wing only.
If you can overlook the power bump you can get loaded S for $131k which includes all the essentials full leather, 14 way seats, premium pack plus + pdls, sport pack, burmester, and CF interior including shift ****. Something similar in the GTS trim you are looking at $141.5k which is 991.1 GT3 pricing or for another 5-10k more you're in the highly discounted 991 turbo range.
Tough choice. My guess is once you see the GTS in person you will probably want it.

I'm noticing my 991.1 GTS value holding strong as the pricing reality of the 991.2 GTS is clearly higher than expected when all added options pile up. This model is getting quite close to TT pricing.

Yeah, except it's not, at least not with similar options. And that's assuming you could even get one for MSRP. And when you compare it to the .2 GT3 about to be released, there will still be a sizable gap for similarly optioned cars. Which there should be, given what the GT3 offers over the GTS.

Those wheels just don't look right on the wide body GTS IMO. I don't understand why they don't offer more wheel options on the GTS. I think they must really want people to spec the CLs.
I get $149.5k on my GTS spec, which is ridiculous.

5-lugs..one of the reasons I purchased this particular 15 GTS cab. Was in Houston over the weekend and spotted a C2S Cab with same color combo as mine. That said, really like the WB look on these cars so...go for it I've noticed some are on the fence regarding the alcanatara...I love the way it holds this old body in the seat and glad mine came with the leather sport steering wheel. For me it IS a very tough choice. When I started this thread this morning I thought no f'ing way would I pay for the GTS. Now, I'm not so sure.
I know I could order the GTS with 5 spoke and even though I am not a fan of the CL, I think a GTS and GT3 etc... actually NEED the CL wheel. However, having said that I suppose I could say the same about Alcandera but I definitely do not want that and my spec'd GTS has all leather.
One thing that makes them more appealing to me is that they are available in silver.
So S or GTS - truly a first world problem.
