OFFICIAL NEWSROOM 991.2 GTS announcement THREAD - 450HP

Interesting that sportdesign bumper on the Carrera looks different -- front spoiler lip is body colored on the Carrera and blacked out on the GTS.

Looks sweet but compared to new twin turbo engines the torque is coming in a bit late, this will likely result in a driving feel more in line with TT than more linear power delivery of NA engine and even 991.2 non S variant. It sure be fast as hell wonder how it sounds with bigger trubos

Thanks but no thanks. I'll be holding on to my .1 GTS till I'm buried.
But damn, .2GTS will be as quick as a scolded bat.

Cross post from the the waiting room thread, sorry but realized after the fact this is a better place for it:
When do you think the configurator will be updated? A few things I was wondering about the interior, maybe someone remembers what was available with the previous version…
• Are those black seat backs part of some kind of GTS interior package? I know you can already order leather seat backs, trying to figure out if you can do black sport seat backs with the grey deviated stitching and not spend a silly amount of money.
• Can you remove the GTS embroidery from the headrests?
• I presume a black tach is still a no cost option?

Usually it is the next day. Although, usually the GTS is announced at a car show. So who knows. Maybe cancelling their participation in Detroit put a wrinkle in the Porsche Universe.

The bigger the Turbos are, the more like a TTS it will be in behavior.
The sound? Expect same as an S variant with PSE. Maybe, a bit more noise.

1)Seat backs in black are probably uncharge option like the coupe
2)Doubt it
3)Probably. Who knows.
Leather steering wheel is a no cost option, I'd bet. I really didn't like the alcantara steering wheel on my GT4
The other question is whether the powerkit will show up on the Carrera configurator now.
