Go hand in hand

Good one Jimbo.

In other words, they've both been around the block more than a few times to redline. Max g-force and high rev screams.

It's almost like Carfax is missing a page. If the warranty clock started ticking in 2014, then the car has been titled to someone (whether it be the dealer or otherwise).

I think you are overreacting. Happens all the time with dealership executive demo cars. Do some more. Research to find out where it was. Could be a car the GM's wife drove for all you know.

Or not.

But it's not necessarily a deal breaker until you know 100% what happened to it.

Called 2 dealers and Porsche NA. The car was a demo and was used as a loaner car then put into circulation.

"If you ever see cars with no prior history usually up to 12k miles, it will almost always be a demo. The warranty date is stamped when the dealer puts it into service. -PCNA"

Thanks for the feedback.

Curious, are you still passing on this one now that you know the history or will you give it consideration?

There are different levels of Demo.

Used as a loaner car...beware.
Used as a Executive car....not so much beware.

You forgot PCNA drivers school cars and the traveling track test driving sessions they organize with dealers around the US.

Those cars are never sold to my knowledge.

Oh yes they are. Check many of them out at West Broward where I've seen quite a few.

PCNA auctions them off internally to dealers. You think they send them to the scrap yard at 8K miles or so?

A CarFax with no history before 8-12K miles and a first sale then is a big red flag for these.

One could argue that if it passed the PPI, had no accidents, had plenty of warranty, and was the perfect build to give it a shot but I'm a little more risk averse. Given the great options available on the market, I'll keep looking ;]

Yes. I've discussed this many times in the past in HFS (Hot for Sale)

Nice work on your part too with the homework.

Gotcha. Did not think that was the case. Guess I was misinformed!
