Easy. I just used them longer. Kept watching them, and kept driving them. Great traction. Got noisy. Ride quality greatly diminished. No rain. Got lucky.

The first set I changed too soon. But I didn't know better and wanted fresh tires for my summer 2015 road trip to Porsche Parade (French Lick, IN) and Nashville. I didn't want to take 15k tires on a 2k road trip. By comparison, I never got anything over 10k on prior 911s, so I was pretty thrilled with over 15k.

Now I plan to push these always past 16-18. For me, 20 is a good sweet spot.

I think I can get away with it because it's not a daily driver, and I can easily avoid ran days. I bit harder to do on road trips, though.

Thanks StormRune for the tip on the fill screen. Took the guessing out of it with temp. Thanks.

I've been running 33/36 I like to keep them as close to possible. They will get as high as 38/41 when hot which is pretty firm but I don't like it much softer than 33/36 when cold.

I run cold tire pressure at 32 fronts and 36 rears on Michelin PSS 245's and 305's. I feel I get really great handling and grip wet and dry at those levels. Also the ride is not so bone shattering for my wife when she is with me. I am expecting to get 15k we will have to see. I used to get 6-8k on the rears on my TT's. They ate up the rears.

I think the 991's and MPSS will get better mileage. I am not a fan of Pzero's after having at least 3 sets over the years. Just a personal preference.

33/36. Do NOT follow the pressure settings on the door!
