You need to do the front bumper as well, so it's more like $5k-ish all in.

When I was ordering a car I was on the fence, so I spent a long time looking at cars with the kit at the dealer. My opinion was - looks great, looks awful, looks great, looks awful, looks great, looks awful, looks great, looks...and so on. No matter how long I looked at it the more I came back to the same place. Couldn't decide.

Recently, reconsidered adding it on and came back to the same conclusion, particularly around the front end. The more I look at the sport design front bumper on a narrow body car, the less I like it. In the end, even when I was temporarily in the 'I Like It' mood, I couldn't justify so much money for basically a cosmetic mod like that.

Funny thing is I like the duck tail better on the narrow body car, but the front sport design bumper better on the wide body.

So I admitted in another thread that the one thing the .1 guys can get that I can't is the duck and that I envy them for it. That being said, I prefer my 991 clean tailed and will put a duck on a long hood if/when I can get one.

Wouldn't it be great if they had a pop-up duck. I would be the first one to get it.

Since you're soliciting opinions: no duck. It looks juvenile.

Get it...they look awesome! A little sportier than stock but still classy.

Looks like your $ estimate is about right...maybe a little high. I'd guess $2500 ish...they are on sale right now on

Without sounding condescending this is exactly how I feel (for me..... I'm 51 and I think it's a bit young for me.) YMMV

With regard to my answer before, I think it looks classic on long hoods (or restomods)......and classically aged guys like myself (read old) can own classic sports cars with all the goodies..... see below

I like the duck, but I prefer the smooth look of no spoiler.

I also like the clean look of previous 911 but 991 aerokit is a must have for 991.1 IMO.

When I speced my order, there was no fence straddling, no uncertainty, no brainer. Now at age 66, I was at Road America in 1973, and the memory of the rs 2.7 made this an easy one to check. For me, the duck is as unique and important as the historic shape of the 911. I would have no other car with a duck, and I would not have a 911 without it.
