Default Help me?

Help me...is there a point to this thread? I get all the Porsche-is-great stuff. Ho Hum. That said, I will say that as the gang says: buying a Porsche pays off - emotionally and financially. Been there. Happy.

What's next??

In absolute total agreement with your statement.

While I understand your point, I do still want to read about problems and shortcomings other owners are experiencing. I enjoy the experience my machine provides, but I have a tendency to look for patterns in nearly every situation- cars included. I want to know if the German missed the mark on anything, and figure out if there is anything I can do to mitigate those issues.

I think some degree of negativity & criticism is necessary.

The overall attitude in this forum is far from negative.

You should see some other forums.

Loud223 - WTF ?
Let me help. This may make sense of this thread -

'I have done intricate experimental brain surgery on Freeman for 40 years and he is still able to post, but he is a wreck with a wrench. On the other hand, when he is able to take the time to think and follow, he has success on his Porsches. And in them also. Though less frequently'.

Unfortunately I discovered that fact too late. Over the years I'll get pissed off about the exorbitant price of some part or some service or some arrogant service guy, and I tell myself that this will be the last dam over priced Porsche I'll ever buy. Then I begin my car search for something comparable. After a few months of research and many test drives, reality sets in and I know that there's no other car that offers the Porsche driving experience. My friends who don't own Porsches are confused by my inability to find a comparable car, since there are many other cars that are faster and less expensive. I just tell them that you have to own a Porsche to understand my dilemma.

I wish there were more people complaining about the thermal reactors beneath the 1975-1977 911's. I could have avoided my first expensive Porsche fail. Ditto with the 996 RMS, the 997 undersized clutch, the issues with the vacuum system in the 981's and so on. I like being informed.

Sorry for the post. I feel justified after owning new Porsches since 1974. I am a scientist who had hands for intricate surgery but could not manipulate a wrench on a Porsche. I will let you guys insult me further with those facts. I am very comfortable in my own skin and in my 6 Porsches. My small point was that many of your complaints about your Porsche can be solved by intellect, thought, introspection and patience. I am sorry if you exercise none of these. Try some! You may be suprised at the outcome you achieve. There is no justification for more cruel statements. The same can be said for our recent elections.
