I've only been to 145 in my 991.2S. I hit 165 once in my 997.2S. Where it occurred...I'll never tell.

Front straight Summit Point last November, grabbed 5th gear seconds before I had to downshift/brake for turn 1. So whatever that would be (145-150?), I didn't look as I was too busy driving. 991.2 base, Softronic tune, SOUL Sport Cats & Headers.

248kph in a rented 991.2 4GTS on the autobahn south of Stuttgart. Am not ashamed to say I did not want to go any faster. Somewhere around 125 mph in my 991.2 C2 at Limerock on the Sam Posey straight right before digging heavy into the brakes for turn 1. If I was any good on the track and the windows were closed, I think the car had another 5-10 mph before the turn.

Kudos to you for grabbing 5th. I've only figured out to use 3rd and 4th around Limerock. I'm thinking i lose some acceleration at the upper rpms in 4th. Any by the way, at 5 yrs old, still adore my C2 (base).

153ish at Auto Club speedway. Roughly the same in the middle of the desert with not a soul around. Could have gone much more but I chose discretion. Car was rock solid and I'm running a little ole un-tuned base.

160.4 verified by GPS and the car (991.1 S) was still pulling hard.

Indicated 160 MPH on a derestricted section of the autobahn west of Nürburg. The car was still not fully broken in, so I ran out of room vs. what a true, full acceleration run would have gotten me up to. I also did my euro delivery in late Oct, so the car was outfitted w/ winter tires which I didn't fully trust for quicker than that. On track, I hit the rev limiter in 4th gear (manual, not PDK) exactly at 140 MPH at LRP. I've tried shifting to 5th there, but the straight is so short that the time lost to shifting doesn't make up for more RPMs available.

From my experience on the Nordschleife, I don't think I'd see the car reach its true top speed there. Even if my intestinal fortitude were up to it (it's not!) there is always the challenge of the ever present traffic. TF days it would be impossible/suicidal to try and even track days would just have too many cars.

It was a blast. I'm planning on LRP HPDE, August 26-27. We'll see if I can grab 5th. Probably not but you never know.

Indicated 246km/h, not the fastest I've gone but the fastest I have in this car.

^ This is pretty wild for a base Carrera merely remapped. I knew the NB cars are fast, but wow. How stable @ 200.7 mph? What tires/pressures? Any other mods?

I haven't been much past 130~ in my 991.2, but have been timed at 175+ mph on dirt and been up to/over 185-205+ mph in other cars. I've also spent a fair bit of time touring @ 120-170~ mph on the autobahn in various cars…even a too-easy 167+ in an EV (below). Funny thing about 150-200 mph, at least for me: There isn't much skill needed, so not much reward either…but there's a lot of risk. I know others feel very differently, but now having done it, I'd take a good back road or a fun track every time…

Not at all. From 80 you can be doing 150+ in maybe half a quarter mile.

I hit 180-190 a number of times in my old 996 GT3 on the way to the track (very early morning, no traffic, straight divided highway to/from nowhere). Lots of fun at high rpm with no mufflers, and the car felt really planted. It just wouldn't be the same in my 991.2...
