He was just messing with you.

No harm done. Just a few more range 1 over-rev counts from bouncing off the rev limiter. Those are never a concern anyway, especially for a PDK.

Nope. Right next to the ball bearings. Make sure you have some gauze available when you go to repack them.

I was about to call the dealer right now since the car is getting snow tires on as I type!

I am still learning all this stuff.

Lucky you weren't driving one of the newer 991.2 models with the turboencabulator. Could be looking at a serious repair bill in that case, no warranty on those.

I saw this thread when it started and thought the OP was being a little dramatic...

This happened to me and now I know why he posted the question! DOH! I definitely damaged the Flux Capacitor
