Default Rear Seat Delete Options

So I'm on my quest to save 100lbs from my car to see how it feels, all mostly reversible. I was looking at a previous post which showed removal of the rear seats saves approximately 18-20 lbs depending on whether or not you also remove the seat belts (which I wouldn't do). Cosmetically it's not great but totally fine (just my dd for now).

Curious if anyone has tried installing the GT3 carpeting or rear center unit? Seems like the carpet might/should fit, not sure about the rear console part. Any thoughts?

I would like to do it also on my GTS, bit I don't want the carpet to read GT3. Why not remove the seat belts?

I just think it's a safety hazard to remove the belts. Will probably need them back at some point and don't like tampering with safety devices like belts, airbags, etc.

Just order the GTS rear seat delete kit from the factory. Was available on European cars.

Could you post some details about the GTS rear seat delete kit. Where did you find it? how much does it cost?

When I purchased my GTS I tried to order one through a US dealer. They claimed that the rear seat delete kit for the GTS never existed. I sent them numerous pictures from the cars tested by European reviewers that had the GTS branded rear seat delete. No one could help. I suspect that if you know someone in Europe who can speak to a parts department there they could help you source it. There were lots of things on the GTS there that we couldn't get here (Lightweight Buckets for example). Let me know if you make any progress as I'd like one as well and maybe we can save on shipping.

Here is what Suncoast said, I think I will order it.

As far as I can tell it is the just lower back seat carpet and the seat belt delete trim:

1 991-551-017-81-A75 AS CARPETING 1 $395.51
2 991-555-565-01-1E0 HIDER 1 $28.38
3 991-555-566-01-1E0 HIDER 1 $28.38

Yep. The cool bit would be to locate that embroidered tunnel cover. Sigh.

So this is the embroidered tunnel cover that says "GTS" as well as the carpeting to cover the lower part of the rear seat?

The other 2 part numbers are the plastic covers for the seat belt holes, yes?

Sorry, it is actually a plastic piece that sits under the carpet on a seat delete GTS or a GT3. I am waiting on clarification from Suncoast on the carpet cost. Not sure if that piece is even necessary.

Any updates? I am interested as well, especially if it just involves carpet and covers for the opening where seat belts used to live.
