That "porsche flat 6" has an ETA 2892 movement inside: the honda civic engine of watch movements. This movement can be found in Hamilton Khaki Autos, which at $350, is appropriately priced and very reliable- I've owned one, and it was very accurate.

So, in my most humble opinion, buying a "porsche flat 6" watch is akin to paying $200,000 for a honda civic with a porsche badge on it. And it's off topic, anyway: it's not German.

That's a bit of a simplification, and somewhat myopic view of watches and watch movements.

Many, many manufacturers (Omega, Breitling, IWC, Panerai, etc.) all use off-the-shelf movements (i.e., Valjoux, ETA, etc.). In fact, the Valjoux 7750 is one of the most robust and reliable chronograph movements on the market.

Your view of watch movements, and specifically off-the-shelf ones like ETA, is sort of like damning a car because it has a ZF transmission. Which means no one should spend $150k on a 911 PDK because a $50k BMW 3-series also uses a ZF transmission.

I agree, but I'm a watch nerd. Different strokes for different folks. I didn't feel the need to elaborate until Gary jeezy got his panties in a bunch.

Good idea because saying a company like Porsche is not careful about putting their name on anything that is "junk" shows a lack of business, let alone common sense. Besides, you've been adequately shot down enough already.

Holy ****, you're an insecure little one. Enjoy your watch, but just know, a stranger on the internet is laughing at you. And people at work. It's probably your shoes. Maybe your hair.
