Excellent point, and first thing I thought about. Because that is precisely where I have rubbed a 9x1" strip of GT Silver Metallic off of the underside of the corner of my 991.1 GTS lip. From not being able to get enough angle when exiting a driveway once with a pretty steep angle to the street. Nothing to be done about it except repaint the lip or repaint a new lip. Glad it's not the whole clip.

I don't think it qualifies as a duck. It deploys like a spoiler. I'm sure it is very aerodynamically optimized though, but I seriously doubt the 991 Aero kit worried about that as much.

Attempting to borrow a line from U.S. politics (and yeah, it's just stupid but popped in my mind):
It actually reminds me of the lip on the newer Caymans. .

They charge more than 2k for the package now. At least with the duck tail you felt like you were paying for something. Not worth now.

Looks like a Cayman spoiler, but I was never a ducktail fan, so no loss.

Not a fan at all. It doesn't match the car lines, it looks off.

Best part is that we all can save $5K by not having this option.

The new spoiler is subtle in kind of a PSP sort of way. You won't really notice it unless you are driving really slow in a parking lot right, following a new 911 sporting that new chick-tail.
