Have been toying with buying the wife a sports car so she quits bugging me to drive the GT3RS.
Went to our local dealer yesterday to look for a used 991. Drove a few used 991's, then made the mistake of driving a 997.2 C2.
Porsche really got it right with the revised motor. it is hard to tell it is a turbo from inside the car...outside it is very obvious. After driving a 991.2 I didn't want to consider 991.1, the new motor has so much more usable torque.
I am a die hard manuel guy, like to shift when I race, ect.....not so much in the 991.....the PDK is so much better. The manuel seems to be an under developed afterthought...the auto blip function is crap. That being said we started looking at PDK only
Next my plan of getting the wife in a base C2 went sideways....my wife asked if she could try a cab...happened to have a C4S cab in th showroom. The salesman / friend of mine pulled it out for her to drive. When she got back she had to have it....I took the C4S for a drive, the 991.2 in "S" form is more obvious it is a turbo. Crazy fast, it feels like Porshce under rated the engine....night and day to the C2. That bring said the C2 is perfect for daily driving....but I was in the showroom that only had a C4S and wife who wanted it LOL
Cab had almost the exact options I would order...so it worked out
White
Red Rood
Bordeaux red interior
PDK
Lane change
20" Spyder wheel
Heated wheel
Sport design mirrors (I cant tell the difference but car had them)
Bose
Porsche logo painted
Delete model
Interior package painted (I want to change this to dark brushed aluminum)
Adaptive sport seats
side skirt painted (wish it didnt have this)
dial in whte
crest on headrest
headlight cleaner white
premium package plus
The base model car had two options that Im glad this car did not
Sport Crono.....I hate the wart on the dash. My GT3 doesnt have it and neither will any other car I buy. For a street car I didnt need the gimick
Sport Exhaust....im not sure the point of making a street car make noise with no benefit....not for me. I also like the look from the rear of the stock exhaust. The sound level is just about perfect for me
So today I get to wok on a child seat option for my 9 month old daughter....Ive searched and lots of opinions.....not sure what way to go

Congrats!
The Safety 1st Guide 65 is one of the only convertible car seats that fits in the rear-facing position; this recent thread has other options, and there are older threads if you search.

Wow! Stunning! Thanks for posting all the pics of you and your family. Super fun.
I made the mistake of walking into the local dealership last week and came upon this. I too am a die hard MT guy BUT you've got me thinking twice about the PDK. Not quite sure about the colour... and note the prices are in CND's , about 30% higher than USDs.

Great colour for a Cab, with red roof and white dials - nice. C4S looks great from behind with the wider body, strip light and standard exhaust
I tend to agree on the sport chrono pack, but surely the real reason you avoided it in the wife's car, is that you don't want her launching from the lights, especially if you are along side in the RS. Might just give you a good run for the money for the first few seconds!

Very nice, enjoy!
Disagree with your comments on the manual, however. PDK is wonderful, and I would never say anyone went wrong by purchasing it. But the manual isn't underdeveloped, nor an afterthought.

Congratulations on the car. I share your sentiments about the 991.2's power curve, and agree that PDK performance is world-class; it's a no-regret move for a very large segment of the market.
Good luck on the car seats!
