Default front seat bolster wear

How are your seats side bolsters holding up? I noticed on the seat bottom bolster in the driver side, the edge of the seam the dye is peeling

Looks like normal wear & tear, from egress into and out of the car.

My local P dealer had a guy come in and re-dye the bolsters on both of my front seats, top and bottom. Cost $200 total and came with a warranty.

what color are y'all seats? are you guys thinking in the future have that part of the seat re-dye?
or is it a good idea to do it now when the Bolster is not in a very bad shape?

Where's the post describing how to get in/out of the car??

There is a proper procedure. This will reduce the chances for excessive bolster wear

Fall in through the sunroof. (Although I am sure someone will provide a pic of sunroof seal wear...... )

Or go in through the windows General Lee style. This may cause the interior door panel to wear and ultimately detach, but your seat bolsters should be ok.

Plop your a$$ in first, bypassing the bolster section. Sliding is for baseball

Can't believe Porsche uses some pathetic leather. I would be happy to take vinyl over leather. 2 yrs and the side looks like a 20 yr old leather seat. My 8yr old BMW leather seat looks brand new which I have always taken it for granted.

I am using this so it doesn't start falling apart (this cover is slightly smaller than the seat, but works fine)
