and if the car is very dark color, probably not perceived by even said aficionado except at a near standstill from very close range and when raised up from rear deck at speed , not at all

Looks like a neutering and more low key front/back than it was in the .1's
Seeing you're still getting a bumper and rear spoiler which is near identical swapped out for what is included in the base MSRP $ anyway, these packages are like a 97% profit margin for Porsche. Yes, nothing new but still impressive they can pull it off.
I love the Aero packages, but from being involved in HFS, they are a niche buyer at resale.
* I would say the real pic is more accurate than the online cartoon configurator.

Agree completely. This has been a trend with Porsche. The parts sharing between 981/991 is huge and now the new 991.2 Base/S/Targa/GTS all have the same displacement engine. It's all profit. Good for them.

I am not impressed. I hope a duck tail or another spoiler comes out for the 991.2.

To get the sport design front fascia, you probably also need to get the lift, as it warns you that front clearance is dramatically lowered. So it really becomes a $6k option. I don't think it looks dramatically different, not sure if I even think it's better. If it was either/or at the same price, I could see deciding between the two. But paying $3k more (or $6 with the lift), makes no sense to me. And I'm someone who usually options the heck out of my cars when I spec them to the point where I know I'm getting options that will prove uneconomical when it's time to sell.
That rear mini spoiler of the sport design ruins the 911 profile imo, looks like a nissan attempt at having something cool. Either keep it as is, or if you have a turbo or gt, the spoilers look more appropriate.
my 2 cents.

After kicking it around, I've decided to pass on this. 2 reasons first its alot of money for what you get and second i have a feeling with that style of front it wouldn't last long ( my wifes parking skills).
