Fwiw, I had alcantara inserts in my 997's seats and they fully converted me. I now worship at the church of cloth/synthetic seats. Leather, to my taste, is just flat out worse unless you go for the over the top, hyper expensive sorts you find in Mercedes S Classes, A8s, and the like.

I realize some have a leather fetish, and that's fine, but for my money the cloth or synthetic inserts are more comfortable, nicer to the touch, and your interior doesn't smell like dead cow. The blue/white tex/pleather combo in the new 718 looks great too.

Whenever threads like this pop up there are always the assorted "ALPHAS GO FOR LEATHER" posts but feel free to ignore them. I did and do not regret it for a second.

Synthetic rubber, oil and everything else but they have never been able to duplicate.

Is this similar to what McLaren offered?

Found this image of what I remembered BMW does.

This is a European 3-series M-sport alcatana something or other.

For those of you writing off the Graphite/Chalk as too busy, take a look in the 360 view. With the right exterior color, I'm finding it absolutely gorgeous. I'm about ready to rebuild my config to take advantage of it.

All I can think about is the scuffs on the chalk door panels...

Just replace them every 5-10 years!

Bumping this in case anyone has seen Sport-Tex in person. May be too soon yet.

Nick Murray ordered his car with Sport-Tex and I seem to recall his car is due in Dec.

I ordered mine with the black/dark grey Sport-Tex seats plus added the leather interior package which rids a lot of the Aluminum inside the car. I'm not a big leather fan(looks great but doesn't always feel great). I like that I get lots of deviated stitching with it and think it will look good with silver grey seat belts. I also ordered pts VooDoo Blue exterior.

Back in late Sept, I changed my order *right* as it was locking to take advantage of this option. I went with Night Blue Metallic with the Graphite/Chalk Sport-Tex seats on a C4S, just like Nick. I think it looks absolutely killer. My car is due in California in January.

As someone who has a car with pebble gray mats and door panels, I agree!

Thanks for posting that. I love his videos. They are entertaining. I'm looking forward to his review on this color combo.
