Default Ceramic Coating Shop in LA (for PSE Tips)

Hi Folks,

Getting PSE added to my C4S on Wednesday and I want to have the tips ceramic coated. Any good shop in the San Fernando Valley you'd recommend? Just curious what the cost of this treatment should cost so I have a ballpark estimate.

Thanks in Advance.

Look up Rennlist sponsor FD Motorsports. They do this ceramic powder coating. A few color choices too. They are in CA. Forget which city.

Why do ceramic? You can powder coat them for a gloss finish? They dont get too hot for powder coating.

I ceramic coated my whole muffler on my old M3. That cost me like 225. Tips should only be 50-75 to coat IMO.

Pardon me. I foolishly responded thinking tips don't get that hot based on my experience. I failed to remember they don't get too hot on FRONT engine cars. At least they didn't on my v8 m3's.

My my bad for the mis information.

Correct.

The 911 rear engine and mufflers which are a reach away from the tips throw all a lot of heat! I didn't think so either until my powder coated tips failed within months.

I read that ceramic coating can reduce quite a lot of heat from the mufflers. I assume that the coating just seal the heat in so my question is where does the heat go? Transfered back to the pipes, cats and engine?

Thx

Think the space shuttle. The heat is just dissipated more rapidly.
