Agreed! Pics immediately! It's like all of us getting a new car again vicariously.

My dad showed me a flat VW when I was 10 and said "the best car in the world". I bought my first ( a flat VW) in 1971. 45 Porsches later each (new to me) one is still a thrill and when one goes away it hurts.

Yea, it looks that way. My car came in a bit more expensive than the national lease deal (108k versus 104k), but they gave me a 6.2% discount, which is a bit more than the national deal. So, lease payments turned out to be about the same. But I also got the maintenance plan as well.
Other than the damned thing costing more than my first house (seriously!!), I'm pretty satisfied with the deal.

Well, all is not well. We inked the deal
after close yesterday and when they called the other dealer today to bring the car over, it had already been sold. So, I'm in limbo. Uhg!!
We have identified 3 good replacements, but none exact same spec as the one I had (tho all within about $1000) of the one I originally settled on. And, of course, my choices go up if I choose PDK. But I'm so conflicted about that. I'm scouring autotrader and dealer sites tonight because I want to lock the car in tomorrow at the latest. My dealer found a nice agate grey that seems to fit the bill. So, I'm hopefully back in business.
I'm dying here now!!

Here's the good news, Plimp. The first one is always the hardest -- you want the car... NOW! The thought of waiting 2 months for the exact one you want is inconceivable. But from here on out, you'll already have a 911! So waiting is no big deal at all. When the one you're about to least (or buy) is 2 months out from being gotten rid of, go negotiate your deal on the EXACT one you want, order it, and wait patiently, enjoying your existing 911 till the new one comes in.
On the other hand (and I hate to admit this but it's true), you'll never like another one as much as your first one, no matter how much "better" subsequent 911s that you own may be.
