Default New member/First Porsche

Hello everyone - New member here although I've done plenty of reading around the site. I recently traded in my 2013 E92 M3 on a 2017 base Carerra. This is my first Porsche and I absolutely love it! I've had it now for a couple of months and have around 2500 miles it so far. I've been driving manuals for the last 10 years or so, but this time I opted for the PDK. After I test drove it, I just had to get it especially with the SC. I didn't get the PSE, but I just had the new Fabspeed X-Pipe installed and it sounds fantastic! A couple pics..

E92 M3 has to be number one (non-Porsche) most common car people have migrated to 991 from.

True, I have seen so many who came from the e9x M3. 911 is just the logical upgrade.

Great looking car!

How do you like the 991 compared to the M as a daily driver?

I'm coming from an F82 and searching around for a 991 to daily drive.

This is what I notice about black cars: sometimes, black hides some of the lines and the curves. That said, your car is beautiful. In my opinion, as cool as some other color/wheel combinations look, I think black is the sharpest. I can't think of another word to describe it other than I think that black makes the car look sharp. Miss my black 997.2. Use it well. Great wheel choice

Black accentuates the primary lines of the car and knocks down the subtle creases. Shows off the basic shape of the car better than any other color IMO. Pure sexy.

Thanks. Maybe that's what I couldn't figure out how to say. Yes. Sexy is another good adjective.

Thanks everyone! I'm really enjoying the car. Most fun I've had in any car so far. Feels great walking out to it and firing it up everyday.

I don't know why but I can't get away from black cars. This is my fourth one in eight years and I told myself I wasn't going to do it again. I was dead set on getting a white 911, but man I couldn't do it. Black is just hard to beat when it's clean.

It's a great daily driver. Very comfortable, fantastic cabin, and relatively smooth in normal mode. I get a little bit of that flash factor at work from the haters, but I didn't buy it for them.

I just wish I didn't wait this long to buy one.

Great Choice! Congratulations and I hope you are into detailing cars.
I don't want to rain on the BMW crowd but I think I can make an educated opinion coming from E92s and F82. There is no comparison. Period! Your base 991.2 will feel faster than your old E92 and will handle much better. By the way, your gas savings will make up for the cost of ownership of the P car.
