Installing lighted door sills

Remove seats are easy.
Tilt seat forward, slide seat all the way forward. Remove plastic cover on rails.
use a E-12 torx (find on amazon) remove bolt from both rails.
slide seat far rear, remove plastic cover and front two bolts.
disconnect battery, let sit fro 5 minutes. While you wait. Rock seat and cover rail ends with cloth.
get a buddy to help remove seat, heavy and wire harness needs to be disconnected. Harness plug, pull on tab and then slides apart.
to reinstall, after front bolts are in, then connect battery. This way you should have no airbag issue.

I bought illuminated door sills and my shop charged me 2 hours (150/hr).
I installed a few other items same time (should headers, oil change, brake pads).
Shop tech told me it was annoying but not complicated.
I wanted to install PPF over carbon fiber but my local PPF shop refused to do it for 2 possible issue:
1. uneven surface between CF and illuminated logo which can cause bubble or halo.
2. possible heat trapping issue.
Does anyone install PPF and possibly share some pics? Thanks,

It may not be perfect but it doesn’t bother me either.

I had mine factory installed custom illuminated sills replaced because of damage. There is some very sticky adhesive under the sill cover. Very sticky. Likely takes a lot of elbow grease and chemicals to remove. I could see this being very time consuming.
