Probably best if your going to keep it long term. Otherwise the dealer can do it for the next owner if your going to trade it out. Just my opinion, perhaps others with better experience and knowledge can chime in?

Also what year did you buy it in?

Bought 9 months ago @2k miles. CPO.

It's the first car I think I've ever had that for now - I can't imagine ever getting rid of. C2S, PDK - would be tempted if I found a decent trade on a 991.1 manual. My last car was a torque monster so I don't care about the .2 and love the way the 3.8 operates... I only wish it didn't have an infotainment system that controlled everything electronically that will date the car.

Mine was CPO'd with 1800 miles and dealer I purchased it from did oil change, brake flush, etc as part of the CPO. Do you know if that was done. If it was done at 2K-ish miles, I would say you don't need OC at 5K miles.

Sorry....totally missed that you were inquiring about a 4 year service. The 5500 miles had me thinking you were asking about an oil change.

Thanks everyone for all your tips! I got the 40k maintenance done, and the car looks great! Got a good deal. 2012 c2s mt with pdcc sport pasm, pse, and pre plus pkg. cpo for 74k, 24k miles. Now for some tints!

We know. Everyone posts pics of their car with the flapper up when they first get it only because they don't know better....

Gorgeous car! (sans spoiler at a stop)

No.

You need to drive it more.

Oops, sorry, my bad, didn't read the whole thread. The first owner should have driven it more. You're doing fine.

I have a question, if we are going by mileage or time intervals, whichever comes first, shouldn't the 4 year service be performed as per Porsche recommendations? Just curious since this was the recommendation for the OP.

Are you basing this on low mileage?

TIA

I'll end up 10K miles a year or more if I'm lucky. Mine is not a limited edition to anything. Just a well scpec'd S that's awesome

Not driving these cars is like not kissing your girlfriend in hopes that she's more valuable to her next boyfriend.
