Thanks all for the advice. Ended up doing a comprehensive claim - so all's well on that front.

The puncture was actually VERY small! Thats why there was the hissing and why it did not fail immediately - the exit route for the coolant was tiny, and took some time for it to completely deplete.

The cost was ~1200 with parts and labor, from the dealer. I also had them install the rennline mesh grills, while the bumper was off.

If this happens to you - take advantage of your front bumper being off!

 

Same problem in my 2016 Targa 4 GTS. Got home to hear a hissing sound coming from the front, right condenser coil.

At the dealer getting repaired and Rennline grills installed. Insurance did cover the repair minus my deductible.

Thanks Rennline. Not sure if I'm glad to be paying my deductible for this condenser repair or if the rock had hit my paint. Despite having SunTek paint protection on my front cap, I can't imagine that that sized rock would've caused some body and paint damage.

 

Damn, need to order these soon. Just as soon not pay my deductible or have claims for something as simple as a rock, and don't need the fans getting clogged with leaves or pine straw.

Having my condenser replaced mesh installed as we speak. Took a rock the same size to the condenser last week. Dealership is covering it. Have had the car a month. Glad to see they look so good.
