Default How dark/light is Agate Leather Interior?

I'm interested in a 991 with an agate grey leather interior, but I can't find a good picture that shows how light or dark the agate interior is. I've done some searches, but in some pictures, it looks very light, in others it looks dark. My preference was for black, but if the agate interior is on the darker side, then it might work for me.

Unfortunately, the car in question is not local, so I'd want to have a better idea of the color before I decide to travel to see it in person.

Anyone have some good pictures of the agate grey leather interior or can give an opinion from personal experience?

Heh - just took delivery of a Macan with agate grey; I assume it's the same skin as in a Carrera? It is pretty dark. Maybe a little bit lighter than espresso in my 991, but not much.

It is very hard to take a picture of the interior that properly reflects the darkness/lightness of the prevailing color due to automatic exposure compensation. I always had to tweak it afterwards until it looked "right" to my eye. I can try, but perhaps someone here has a cabrio with that interior -- with outside lighting and enough background in the picture, the color should come out perfectly correct.

Gorgeous pictures in that thread -- but they look too light to my eye. Either the leather in question is really different, or the darkness is in the eye of the beholder...

Thanks for the pics, those do look on the light side to me, too. I may just have to see if I can find a different model at my local dealer that has the agate leather interior to calibrate my eyeballs.

I like the Agate gray interior a lot but I'm concerned about glare on the windshield.

See now that looks dark to me and I would be okay with that color. I guess I just need to see it in person.

A Porsche dealer with good inventory should have one with that interior. Also, they have samples you can look at. Also depends on the exterior color for the overall look.

I would go look at it. I have full leather in our Macan in Agate and it's very dark. If you are walking by the car and glance at the interior you would think it's black unless it's in direct sunlight. Pics make it look a lot lighter than it is. I love it. It's dark enough that it doesn't look dirty all the time (like a tan) and it's different enough that it's not another black interior.

I have agate gray as well in my new C2S, and I have to say it's my favorite. Normally, I'm a black leather interior guy, but this shade changed my mind. It's dark enough to avoid reflection, for sure, and provides a more subtle contrast for beautiful new colors like Graphite Blue Metallic.

And it might be time to change my photo. My Nordic Gold Targa is gone now. Bye bye baby.

This is Platinum gray seats next to a black center armrest. This grey is light. There is an even lighter gray in 2012-2014 cars (pebble gray I think). Agate gray is darker with brown hue to it. Hope this helps.
