Default Headlight Damaged

Wondering if it would be considered a warranty thing or normal wear...

Missing piece about 1/4 x 1/4 inch. Small paint nick too on fender...gotta be rock damage. Just worried about moisture getting inside. Has anyone else experience this type of damage to their lights?

Why would this be covered under warranty? It's road damage.

Looks like you caught a stone off the road. Sucks big time but it's not warranty covered unless your dealer is unusually philanthropic.

Would have made quite the mark on the paint. I guess I'd rather replace a headlight than having some paintwork and repair which would be more $$$ and time consuming.

Get the correct part # off your headlight. Call Sunset for pricing. Also, I see a lot of headlights on eBay. Just do your research to make sure they are in the condition you like. Some could be like new condition, while some could be slightly damaged.

One of those unfortunate things. Could have been the windshield, hood, etc .... Fix and move on. Part of driving a car so low to the ground.

Food for thought, when you get a car clear bra'd, they remove lights and wrap that area. Might be a good idea once you get repaired, but wouldn't have helped your headlight, just paint. Gravel and road debris can be a heck of a thing on your car.

Hit it with a hammer. You'll feel better knowing that the damage needs replacing.

I would just live with it and not worry about it.

There's no guarantee that once you replace it, the same chip won't happen again. Unless you bubble wrap it in your temperature controlled garage, things like this will inevitably occur. This is a car that's going to be drive and used. Consider it patina.

put some clear silicone to prevent moisture from getting in and just live with it.
