Car Buying Addiction...
Okay fellas, time to admit to it and come clean. Who here has it? You buy one car but keep looking or "browsing" to make sure you got a good deal, or worse, to buy another car! There's fun hobby and then there's addiction. C'mon, you know who you are... so stand up addicts and unite!

I did research for about a year before I bought the GTS so i was comfortable with my deal, options etc. but now that it's in the garage i'm starting to watch the GT3 market. Me moving to the GT cars is years away but the constant hunt never ends.

Since I got out of college, every 3-4 years I get the fever (worst was 18 months). Since I got my 991, I really haven't gotten the bug. I'm at 3.5 years so I'm a little perplexed...but not in a bad way. I still love my car.

I go every Wednesday night to the Car buying Addicts help group. We commiserate together....and we bring the latest version of our favorite car magazine as a show and tell. It's therapeutic.
I stalk cars for up to 2 years. My 981 for 15 months. MY upcoming 991.2 for 18 months. It happens....
I will be buried in my 981 but only keep my "beater" 991.2 (daily driver) until I retire in 9 years....then something awesome...whatever that is.

I am constantly on Cars.com just browsing to see the market rates. I traded my R8 for a new 2015 991S mostly because the CPO warranty was soon expiring and I wanted to try something new.
After discovering this forum I couldn't hold on to that and let it go after 17 months. But continuously searching the net helped me understand what I wanted next which led me to my new GTS, which I bought while I happened to just buy as I drove by the Porsche dealer on a day off. When I saw the car and the build it was pretty much on target.
I have owned all the usual suspects:
Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infiniti, Acura, etc
Barely had this car and still looking for change to perhaps a Turbo S, but that will have to wait!
To the OP: I don't think it's "worse" to buy another car, I would think it's definitely "better"!
Answer: Yes an addict.
