I have been a car nut since a tiny tot. Worked hard to achieve a Doctors degree to fund the many exciting cars I planned to buy in life. Something happened however . . . as at age 68 I have owned ten cars in my whole life and still have five of them. Must be my frugal Scottish DNA!
Lifetime of cars:
1957 Ford Custom 300 with '64 Galaxie XL 390 & 4-speed (1966 to 1968 . . . 3 sets of rear tires)
1960 Austin-Healey 3000 (1968 - still have it)
1962 VW Convertible (Family car in 1962 - still have it)
1966 Porsche 911 (1970 to 1977)
1974 Porsche 911S (1977 - still have it with over 300,000 miles)
1974 Chevy El Camino (1980 to 1985)
1979 VW Camper bus (Europe most of 1989 after passing the California Bar in 1988)
1991 Chevy Silverado "stepside" pickup- lowered with cam & headers (1999 - still have it)
1987 Mercedes Benz 300E (1999 bought for mother in her 80's - 2015 donated to PBS)
2015 Porsche Carrera S (2014 - still have it)

What happened with the M2? I kinda like that car except for the cheap interior and heavy suspension parts.

Please tell more about your NSX experience. Always wanted one growing up. How does it compare to your 911 experience? What's your opinion on the new NSX?

NSX is a superb car. Its not the fastest sportscar out there but man does it handle and it garners attention everywhere you go. I'm 5'11 and loved the ergonomics...driving position is superb, look out the windshield is just like the 911 and the build quality is amazing.

Here's the 1 of 8 made in Imola Orange/Onyx interior, 1 of 49 total U.S. production NSX's in Imola Orange Pearl and 1 of 1 made for its year (2002) that I owned. I still regret selling the car....the ONLY car I have ever regretted selling.

The day I received her from the journey half way around the world (Utah to Dubai):

In the absence of better excuse, bought a car for nanny to take kids to the park and swimming. Just bought H&R springs and spacers for nanny's car. Will do an ECU flash soon.

LoL mind if I steal that quote (or a variant on it?). Classic.

Although my streak of manual transmissioned cars (4 concurrently including a GT4) might end with a Tesla Model 3. Makes me want to puke but I got an early reservation and with the potential $10k tax credit still in play-- forced me into a reservation.
