Where does one find a Porsche 911 Catalog? Is it online?
thanks

The two-tone red/black interior is one i'd love to check out and ogle over at a car show, but Black (full leather) is what I'd actually want in my garage.

Love the Spyder wheels, though the Carrera S Platinum wheels are great looking as well.

As for the PDK/Manual/Wife decision, I skipped the Manual on the last Cayman I purchased to try and entice my wife to drive it more... She still didn't really ever drive it, never took it out by herself, and preferred being a passenger when we were both in the car, so you might just want to get what you really prefer. That said, the setup/programming on the 2017 PDK's with Sport Chrono is really awesome.

My Opinion:
1) Black Interior.
2) Let your wife test drive PDK then ask her if you should get manual or PDK.

This is just my suggestion and you should ultimately get what you like.

I downloaded it in April, I don't remember how I got it.

I can't find the original Porsche site I downloaded it from, you can try here:

I have a hard copy to the new 911 book (US), and it show all colors, but no combo recommendations.
Check out page 85 of this German version and it shows valid combo's.

Thank you both. Both sites worked.

I went PDK for the same reason and my wife is still reluctant to drive it. Take her at her word and get what you want. Let her get enjoyment out of the places the two of you go in the car (occasionally ask if you should stop by a jewelry store, purse shop, or boot store).
OP here. This stuff is excellent. Keep it coming. I've been a long time BMWCCA guy, but when I drove the M4 and 991 back to back, my choice was obvious.

Update on transmission: Manual wins! I used some of the responses on here as a passive aggressive way of broaching the topic in detail with her. She agreed she wouldn't feel super comfortable driving a six-figure car even if it was PDK (or as she knows it: "automatic"). I mentioned the Boxster comment and we agreed that when I go to the airport (which is frequently) I can take our SUV if I get her a Mini Cooper. That was an easy deal to make!

So if I get Luxor beige they'll put my steering wheel on the wrong side?!

Any thoughts on natural leather in a cabrio? My concern is the additional UV exposure would lead to premature patina, or worse, cracking of the leather. I did a forum search on "natural leather" and surprisingly didn't uncover anything useful. I'm sure it must be out there.

If I can't get the exact leather combo I want, the espresso/cognac looks like a reasonable option.

Some people LOVE. The PDK, and will fight tooth and nail I've why it's obviously best. Others are the same with MT. It sounds to me like you are on the fence. Almost all the on-the-fence buyers of PDK post their regrets in time.

If you aren't dying for PDK, don't do it.

Actually..... I can't think of any MT buyers posting their regrets.

PDK vs Manual...I have PDK after driving a manual since 1984...... Tired of shifting, especially in SO. Cal traffic..... Love just driving and enjoying the ride without thinking...PDK so much better than Tiptronic I had in Cayenne......

Wheels....Check mine out.... but I like the spyder or painted wheels.....I had Blue wheels on my Cayenne...Sharp.....

Red may sound and look great short term but are you going to be happy with that color in 7 - 10 years?" That was with a silver car...
While I agree with you, NA, that Sapphire over Bordeaux wouldn't be my cup of tea, and also agree that everybody's color taste is personal and many would not be happy with red interiors over the long haul, I'd have to take issue with the "timeless" comment, or at least its implication that black is historically timeless and red isn't. Silver-over-red Porsches are extremely common down through the history of the marque and not at all dated or faddish -- i.e. they are timeless as well.

In fact, although this is my first silver/red Porsche I first started wanting that combo with the advent of the 993 in Polar Silver over Boxster Red. But this is the first car I haven't bought off the lot, and I never found a silver/red one when I was ready to buy in the past.

etc.
