Build advice - unique vs. disasterous

...those that say dark interior will bake in the heat never had decent tinting and ventilated seating.

actually I have a blk leather/alacantara interior in my SB GTS Cab ... I dont find that its too hot in the sun.

Luxor is awesome, that's what I have. Black isn't an issue when you're driving around, but when you first get in after it's been sitting out in the sun it makes a huge difference.

As other's have mentioned, luxor brown would be a great choice. If it was my choice, that would be it.
Something like this.

Lots of good suggestions here. One thing I realized with cars is that most of the focus on small things like PASM vs SPASM, led vs xenon headlights etc. it all goes away once you own the car. I was desperate to find a GTS w LED headlights. Now I can't believe I spent so much time wanting them. I have xenon by the way and never think about them. Now car color and interior color are different beasts. You need to be careful here as you are. I wanted, for a while, a red, burgundy interior as I thought it would match the tail lights and calipers on my GTS. Which it would. My wife knocked some sense into me when she said..... "If you are going to have a porsche 911. You want it to be timeless. Red may sound and look great short term but are you going to be happy with that color in 7 - 10 years?" That was with a silver car. You have blue. My opinion is that you would begin to despise the superman look, regret your decision and have to part ways way before the 7 year mark. I can't imagine getting into that combo every day and saying, "man I made a great choice". Now, if my name was Clark Kent this would be my ride of choice.

Usually I'd be the guy saying get what you want and forget about the rest but I'd have to agree with your wife and your salesman. In this situation I'd get black interior skip the full leather and get white/silver deviated stitching with all CF or paint matched interior trim.
Regarding your Manual vs PDK choice JUST GET THE MANUAL!! The couch won't kill you but 7 years with the wrong transmission is going to leave you full of regrets.

If you look on page 113 of the Porsche 911 Catalogue it gives you a list of colours and recommended interiors. For Saphire Blue, the only "especially recommended" interior colour is Black, with a "recommended" colour of Agate Grey.
