I have been following/reading this thread with a combination of amusement and envy! Well, some entertainment too as you (we) all have some "Hot wives"! Unfortunately my wife could care less about cars and although she "likes" driving her CD, she would be just as happy, maybe happier pocket book wise, with a VW Tdi Touareg. All my 911 purchases have been made with some serious sacrifices too. Sold my '02 Softtail Duece for the current car. And there was that time she wanted a tree removed that I liked. I liked the TT more, so tree is gone. There are more stories but I've embarrassed myself enough. Just consider yourselves lucky if your significant other supports your Pcar passion (my wife calls it an obsession)!

My wife is truly an angel on earth. She makes me a far better person than I could ever imagine being.
She isn't a car nut at all but she has always been supportive of my enthusiasm for cars. When we were stationed in Belgium (USAF), I convinced her to wake up at 4am and drive four hours to the Frankfurt autoshow (and then four hours driving back home afterwards).
"Would you wake up at 4am and drive four hours to see a quilt show?" "Honey, when you find out when the 2017 quilts are coming out, you let me know and we will make that trip..."
She has put up with me dragging her to PCA drive and dines, weekend PCA trips, the Le Mans viewing party, and various car shows over the years, sometimes several hours away from home. It was hysterical trying to convince her that I needed a 911 "because it had a backseat" after 15 years of owning Corvettes.
I have not yet gotten her to participate in an HPDC or autocross but I am still working on it! She hates to drive my car (for fear of something bad happening to it) but I won't give up.

My wife is not really a sports car person, but she's very supportive of my hobbies. And she loves riding in a passenger seat. Hope you all seen her by now. We try to do at least one big roadtrip a year in my Boxster
