I just entered the fold myself with new 991S. Im over in Pensacola area but willing to drive a ways to get xpel installed. what's the name of the shop that did it. Also can you give a breakdown on the plasi dip of the emblens. I want black also. thanks in advance.

Gr8ful1: I used a shop called Cool Conceptz - 904-755-5176. The guy there is Gilbert and he did a great job. As I understand it, he does most of all of the work for the local Dealership (it used to be Brumos Porsche, but is now Fields). He did the job with XPel Ultimate film and it really is a struggle to see that it is even on.
Regarding the black emblems, there are a ton of youtube videos to watch that can give you some pointers, but at the end of the day its kind of hard to get it wrong. And even of you do, you peel it off and try again. Mask off the area, put down at least 4-5 good even coats being sure to start and stop the spray off of the emblems so you don't get an uneven texture and when it is dry you peel off the surrounding area. It is pretty slick the way that it just pulls up and separates from the emblems. The most important thing is to get several nice, thick layers. If it doesn't build up thick enough it will not pull off as one cohesive sheet of dip. Instead it come off in a million pieces and you'll be forever cleaning off the excess.
