Anyone else tried Custom Car Grills? I'm so happy, no more leaves inside the radiator slots.

Carving through Arkansas last weekend, the Custom Car Grills saved my radiators twice. One with a chunk of truck tires hitting my grills and the other was a small rock. These grills held up very nicely.

shop to make them. After 6000 miles I luv the functionality and look.

That looks great. I really like the center grille flush the way you have it. Looks like you removed the horizontal bars on the outside grilles, gives it a GT look. Do you know how difficult it was to get the center grille flush with the air channel behind it?

I tried to achieve a look that is as pure and as simple as possible and very close to GT3 grills. However, it took my car body shop a couple of hours to slightly modify the center and lateral black plastic trims to achieve this.

Thanks. It took an extra couple of hours. So all in all 3 hours instead of 1 hour if you'd only add black grills without any trim modification.

I just now noticed you removed those black plastic bars, great idea. I didn't know if those bars help direct air in a certain way or not so I left them alone. Might have to re-do because I love the 911R look.

Do you have grilles in the inside small grilles? Can't see in the pictures.

Yes my "guy" did a great job :

1. Cutting out the lateral horizontal bars (he wasn't convinced but I was 110% sure it would look awesome and OEM)

2. Making the central plastic trim flush with the new black grill (makes a huge difference in looks)

3. No grills in the inside small air vents (just like the 911 R).

I've been driving the car for a while now with zero issues! It just looks so good like this.

Awesome job. My son lives and goes to school in KC (and so did I for about 10 years) and every summer I take my sports car for a drive to KC....so, I might come back to you on this next summer. I can't imagine the process would be much different for a 991.2, but of course, the parts would be different.
