Sport Seats Plus VS. Base Sports Seats
I stopped by the dealership today and sat in a new 2017 C4S with the 14-way sport seats. I was surprised how little bolstering they had compared to many other sports cars I've driven (that are much cheaper). They didn't have any models on the showroom floor with the Sport Seats Plus bolstering. I look forward to trying those later this week (salesman said he'd get one set up for me to look at and test drive).
FYI: I'm in great shape and 5'-8", so I tend to like seats that would be considered "too snug" for guys that are 6' and 200-plus pounds.
Anyways, was wondering if anyone got the Sport Seats Plus and now regrets it. If so, why?

I was all set to order the Sport Plus or 18 way on mine but after a back to back test sit I am WAY more comfortable in the standard sport seats or 14 way seats.
If heard of guys not liking the 18 way because they cause back problems. Others love them. You need to go sit in one for a while and see how it works for you.

I have sports Plus 4 ways in my GTS and they work very well for my body. 6'1" 185. The bolstering is phenomenon -incredible support during very aggressive driving including autocross. You sit in them more than on them. 18 ways also great seats, but very heavy.

kinda did this in another (similar) thread but i'll go and say it again; had the 18 way adaptive sport seats in my 991 C2S and it's one of the things i miss the most about that car. do i dislike my 14 way "base" seats? absolutely not....they offer a certain level of comfort and firmness that's perfectly suitable for around town, but they do fit a little bit more snug in and around my upper back/shoulder area. a fit 5'10.

Had the sport seats in my 997 and thought they weren't bolstered enough. Went with the sport seats plus in my 991.2 and absolutely love them! I'm 5'10" 205 and workout but no issues with the seats being too snug.

I love the sport seat+ but my wife isn't comfortable in them, so....
I was surprised at PSDS all the cars had the standard sport seats. I've tracked my current car and feel they work well even with aggressive driving.

I am new to Porsche cars and had the same dilemma in terms of seats. I felt very uncomfortable in 14-way seats and had serious reservations about getting a car at all. I was introduced to sport plus seats and thought they would be solution to the problem. Given that not many cars are specified with these seats, was hard to find the right car. At the same time, most of the salespeople with any lengthy P cars ownership experience were suggesting to go with 14-way seats. I thought it was all sales talk and did not heed that advice. Until i got a chance to drive car fitted with 14-way seats for lengthy period of time. Suddenly, whatever downsides i perceived at first, turned into positives. Protrusion into scapular area became a point of support that is necessary anytime i drove car hard. Lower lumbar support area all of sudden confirmed to my back and became incredibly supportive. To make the long story short, seats felt perfect.
Now i have driven the car for the last 3 weeks and seats are more and more comfortable to the point where I consider these seats to be the most comfortable i have ever ridden in. I also had a chance to try Sport Plus seats since my car purchase and they felt too big. What felt comfortable before, became just too loose.....
Sorry for long rant, just wanted to share my experience. I am 6-1, 200 lbs....

1. Don't mistake bolstering for padding. The seats are thin by mass production standards and are very effective for a fun street car.
2. I'm 6'4" & 240 Lbs. - the 18 way are awesome. Not as comfy as the Jag I came from but much more effective for driving support and bolstering.

I second that. The bolstering makes me feel more comfortable during drives because you're so secure. But the seat *does* definitely hug you, and I've had a few friends comment on the fact that they're "too sporty" when trying to get in and out of the car. That's mostly due to the fact that they're sports seats in a low-sitting sports car, though.

I have the sports seat plus - 4 way. Absolutely love them. Love the more aggressive bolsters - good thigh and shoulder support- I couldn't justify the extra cost for the 18 way which have the same bolstering.

I have the 14-way Sports Seats and did consider the adaptive sport seats. I didn't like the "plastic back cover" of the adaptive seats and was too cheap to pay for the leather cover.
