Why would you run 35 marathons? That's crazy. I lift then run 2-3 miles daily but 26 is insane once let alone regularly. I did like 22 once and it sucked so I learned my lesson never to do that again.

After being a runner in high school, I started running again at 35 to get back in shape. 20 years ago, at 41, I ran my first marathon (New York City) with a friend and have just kept at it.

Good for you!

Couple of interesting marathon facts. The record is around 2:02 now. I believe 10 people have run sub-2:06, and they all come from like a 2-sq. mile radius.

Think about that time. 2:02. Know what splits that works out to?

4:41. Repeated 26 and a quarter times.

4:41 would win you the Boys Mile or 1600M in most high school track meets (not state finals, but regular 3-school meets during the season.)

For instance, here's the dual-meet results from Roswell-Milton (two Class AAAAAA schools near me) this year:

Name Year School Finals Points
=======================================================================
1 Patterson, Andrew Roswell High 4:52.53 5
2 Stonaker, Nick Roswell High 4:57.97 3
3 Mimms, Jacob Roswell High 4:58.58 1
4 Holben, Andy Milton High 5:06.16
5 Whited, Ronnie Milton High 5:13.25
6 Meade, Preston Milton High 5:14.72
7 Weber, Jacob Roswell High 5:16.89
8 Jett, Kamari Roswell High 5:18.55
9 Albert, Samuel Roswell High 5:23.61
10 Curl, Tyler Milton High 5:24.60
11 Montes, Ernesto Roswell High 5:26.95
12 Randall, Peter Roswell High 5:36.84
13 Butterwick, Alex Milton High 5:55.93

Your athleticism & 991.2 are equally impressive!

That's pretty amazing stuff. I took 4th in my age group (60 - 64) at Boston this year at 3:04, which is about a 7 minute pace and ran the Steamtown Marathon last fall in 2:59. I wish I could run a 2:02. Then I could be drinking beer instead of running during that last hour.

This is my top choice for a color combo if I end up ordering a cab. A couple of questions (this would be my first Porsche):

1) Is the PSE a must-have? I currently drive an M4 convertible, and since I have the roof down 90+% of the time, I find the stock exhaust to be sufficient.

2) How do you like the 14-way seats? Nick Murray insists they are harder and less comfortable than the 18's, but I haven't seen this observation from others.

3) Would you recommend a manual or PDK for a daily driver with moderate daily stop-and-go commuting traffic for 15-30 minutes each way (depending on which office I go to), and 1-2x backroad drives per week? I have driven 5-series BMW's with manuals, but the M4 has DCT (which I do like). Part of me would like to try a manual again, especially in a high performance car.

4) Given the added weight of the cab, did you add (or consider) PDCC?

Thanks!
