Default Wastegate noise?

Hi All.
For those with some seat time in a 991.2 (hopefully with an MT, although not sure it matters). I picked up my C2 a few weeks ago. I posted a few quick picks before I took delivery, more to come soon.
Finally have some nice weather here and driving around with the windows down I hear an odd sound. It sounds like a random pneumatic noise, with some metallic sounds too. Its quick and brief coming from the rear, although all on the passenger side. It doesn't matter what RPM, or drive mode, or speed, happens on accel and decel, does often happen right after a shift before I release the clutch, but not 100% of the time. Its not related to the spooling sound of the turbos which is consistent with RPM and pedal pressure. At first I thought it was just some noise from the wastegate, but its not happening on both sides of the car. It reminds me of my friend with tourettes (don't mean to offend anyone of course) in how its random, and quick, doesn't seem to relate to anything at all in regard to what the car is doing.
I was hoping someone with a C2, MT, might chime in if they have heard the same with the windows down. Don't hear it otherwise. If no one else hear's it then I'll it take to the dealer. I hope its not normal. I know this car was going to sound different, but I don't want random new sounds too.
Thanks and happy Memorial Day!

I did not notice anything like that during my (relatively short) .2 test drive. It was a PDK car though.

Sorry to resurrect this very old thread - but my 991.2 is making a very similar sound to the one you describe here. Did you ever figure out what it was?

Since it's right after a shift; maybe flywheel chatter or heat shield related.

There is a thread on here somewhere talking about a early 991.1's and a waste gate shaft shield rattling and I think it was removed on later models. If I find the thread I'll link it.

Edit: Linked below. Good video.

My car is a PDK, and techs have removed those heat shields on my car. The sound I hear occurs only when the car is warm, between ~2200-3500 RPM in very light throttle/light load and/or transitionary situations. it goes away immediately if i give more throttle or upshift. I also hear it in normal mode when slowing to a stop around 1000 RPM, and then the sound is more tick, tick, tick and less rapid as it is RPM-dependent.

Dealer says is likely wastegate behavior, but says I'll spend more trying to diagnose something that happens in such narrow windows, and car is obviously healthy, but to be honest, it drives me insane.
